i found that to be good advice today - for myself and for a friend. 

imagine how much fun a relationship would be if you didn't have to spend your time trying to fix the other person...

well - i feel like a tidepool of unproductivity.  and that is a direct result of finding out that ellen, the grad student 1 year my senior, is planning on graduating in August.  Well, that means I should graduate next August... and frankly that scares the shit out of me.  I doubt that will happen, I dont see it happening until December 2011, but might be able to swing it by Aug of 11.  Further, I dont think i want to push it that fast... Im content with the 6-7 year plan rather than the 5 year plan.

as for the gym - things are great... never been in better shape (thanks to john).

as for life... things are great also.  i think im getting the hang of things - finally.
